Brewed in February of 2019, this English-style Barleywine was sent to rest in bourbon barrels for 16 months, all the while continually developing its barrel aged character. We then selected 4 of those barrels to condition on both a measured blend of Vanilla beans sourced from multiple worldwide regions, and in-house toasted coconut.

Speaking of those adjunct additions, this is where we’ll intentionally break the 4th wall for a moment - the goal of the adjunct additions in this and all of our beers that receive them, is to elevate the intrinsic character developed during the barrel-aging process, not to overwhelm the heart of what we worked tirelessly to coax out of the whiskey soaked oak.

The approach with our adjunct additions, much like in all things we do, is done with careful consideration. It’s a well thought out application of carefully selected, in house processed ingredients... it ain’t all gas and no brakes.

With that said, we taste impressions of hazelnut liqueur, bourbon soaked chocolate chip banana bread, and an almond joy essence finish. 12% ABV.

Bottle thanks to Savada. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong vanilla, toffee, bourbon, oak, licorice. Slick body, toffee, vanilla, cocoa, bourbon, nice sweetness, enjoyed this.
