Bottle from a trade with phaleslu. Pours medium brown color with tan head. Aromas of raspberries, chocolate, coffee and roasted malts. Lightly tart raspberry flavor with bitter coffee, roasted malt and some chocolate. Medium body with soft carbonation. Thanks Peter.

750ml bottle from Pick’s poured into an English Pint. Pours a dark black with about 2 fingers of tan head. Stars with a strong aroma of raspberry with a slightly less strong aroma of coffee to finish it out. Taste is light sweet, light sour and medium bitter. Starts with a sweet and sour raspberry but ends huge with strong black coffee. Medium bodied with a thick and creamy texture. Lively carbonation and a long bitter finish. Overall, it’s a very good beer. Perfect for drinking hanging out around a bonfire this time of year. Something worth seeking out.

Pour is a black with a large tan head. Aroma is deffinatly a bit of fresh raspberry but what about the coffee? Flavor is a light raspberry and again where’s the coffee? Has aspects of a fruit beer but almost nothing in the way of a good stout. I’m sure Schlafly fanboys will amp up the ratings on this but for me this is way to light to be considered a good beer. Also way to expensive at $9 a bottle.
