Intiction is a mixed culture fermentation which we barrel age in Merlot barrels with freshly pressed Merlot grapes. This complex beer has nuances along with a slightly tanic finish from the grape skins. Intinction is refermented in the bottle creating a natural carbonation and a small layer of yeast sediment.

Bottle. Pours a clear pinkish red with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a barnyard bite up front with tart dry red grapes and a bit of an oakiness supporting. Flavor has dry funky red grapes with a good amount of barnyard with a bit of grains backing.

375 c&c from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours clear, bright, darkish cherry red with a transient head. Aroma is winey red grape. Med plus body - good carbonation there. It's quite dry; very winey red grape; a bit oak astringent; moderately tart/sour; a bit of earthy barrel must in the finish. Quite tasty.

On tap at Russian River - Windsor, pours a clear ruby red with a small pink head. Aroma brings out lots of Merlot grapes skins, wood and red wine barrels. Flavour is bone dry, with lots of musty dry red grape skins, light wood, and lots of dry vinous notes. Really lovely Merlot character. Excellent.
