Intiction is a mixed culture fermentation which we barrel age in Merlot barrels with freshly pressed Merlot grapes. This complex beer has nuances along with a slightly tanic finish from the grape skins. Intinction is refermented in the bottle creating a natural carbonation and a small layer of yeast sediment.

Bottle pour shared by Chalumeaux--thanks, TJ! it's a cloudy dark amber/orange. Aroma is tart/funky red grape. Taste is strongly tart citrus, grape. Mouthfeel is thin, smooth, soft carbonation. Overall, well made but don't love the style.

375 ml bottle, thanks to ClarkVV!! Bottled 09/10/20. Roma is red wine and soft yeast without question. Flavor has a little bit of Brett funk with soft acid throughout the sip. The Brett and grape gives a nice funk characteristic. Nice!

375mL bottled 9/10/2020, drunk 9/16/2023. Cranberry-rose. Clear. Off-white head quickly to nothing. Massive merlot grape with assertive acidity. Super lovely mineral, mellow, easygoing with some solid funk to it. Clean and elegant. Juicy, with good wine character, mineral, solid but mellow acidity and a deep malt showing light honey. Soft and attenuated. Clean, funky, interesting.

Poured from 375mL bottle (bottle 09/10/2020) @ Oakes' Chinese lookout. Hazy medium orangey red with small white head. Merlot underlay, feint tartness, touch of wood, prefer the integration of the other Intinction's better, but still decent.

Purplish brown colour, no head. Nice vinous aroma, mellow tartness. Touch of bugginess. Tannic, with a sweet merlot expression. Good balance on this one.

375 mL corked and caged bottle picked upnat Special Brews. Also sampled on tap at Elliott Bay Pizza for comparison. Pinkish red pour. Tart, wine like dark fruit, red grape nose. Flavor is much of the same wotb a dry oak background to it. Bold flavors that capture the wine barrel well. Lingering merlot and tart palate, with a residual barrel oak. Quite the treat. Excellent variation to an excellent brew. Love everything about this one.

Bottle shared at the monks cafe in Philadelphia PA. A clear pinkish crimson red coloured pour with a halo of pink head. Aroma is big horsey funk, brett, red vinous fruit, red grape, cherry, oak. Flavour is composed of dry and pithy, woody cherry, oak staves, red grape vinous drying finish. Horse blanket, rose wine. Palate is crisp and tart prickly finish. Airy carbonation. Lovely
