750 ml Bottle. Deep ruby/ almost brown, still plenty of carbonation. Aroma is rich rum barrel with a boat load of candi sugar. WAY over the top sugar.
Dear god this is wretched... It tastes like old shoes leather mixed with rubbing alcohol. Yes, rubbing alcohol. Why did they sell this to people? I feel like I need to scrape my tongue.

Draught @ BBB. Pours clear dark reddish dark brown with a frothy beige head that leaves some sprase trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is slightly malty and heavy fruity estery with sweet dark bread, caramel, toffee, ripe apples, baked pears, marzipan, hay, dry soil, lemon zest and hints of alcohol and glue. Taste is sweet, tiny bitter, slightly malty and heavy fruity estery. Mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet and tiny bitter with sweet dark bread, caramel, toffee, ripe apples, baked pears, marzipan, hay, minerals, lemon zest and alcohol. Bit too heavy on the fruity esters but over all ok. --- Beer merged from original tick of Quadraceratops on 13 May 2015 at 21:12 - Score: 7

17/XI/15 - 75cl bottle @ Horeca Expo (Gent) - BQE: Q2 2015 (so is that bottled or expired?) (2015-1617)
Clear purple brown beer, creamy beige head, very stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very intense and heavy smell, lots of alcohol, dried fruits, bit medicinal, general fruitiness. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: alcohol, very heavy, spicy, vinous. Aftertaste: sour, lots of alcohol, rum notes, very pronounced chocolate notes, sourish, hard liquor. Very surprised at all the low ratings for this one...

One of the more exclusive and rare Brooklyn offerings, at Horeca Expo 2015. Lacing, pale yellowish white, moussy head over a deep reddish burgundy colour, hazy beer. Aroma of port wine, banana, raisins, milk chocolate, vanilla tannins, cognac, liqueur and quite a lot of paint- or glue-like phenols. Candied sweet onset, brown sugar, banana, lots of candied figs, slight sourish touch of balsamic vinegar, soft carbo, full and fluffy mouthfeel, caramelly malts with chocolatey touch, some herbal hop bitterness and drying woodiness, but most of all dominated by a strong dosis of liquor-like alcohol, becoming somewhat tiring in the end. Rich and interesting, but needs more finesse and better hidden alcohol in comparison with the best quads.

Sample at SBWF 2015. Almost black with a tan head. Sweet aroma and taste of caramel, rye bread, some fruit and malt. Also warming alcohol. Too sweet and boozy.
