Brooklyn Shackmeister Ale was developed for the sort of fresh-off-the-grill staples that everyone loves. A slightly sweet malt base and a refreshing burst of hops makes it a welcome companion to griddled burgers, crisp fries, snappy hot dogs and beyond.

Housebeer tapped into a plastic cup ... REALLY ??? pours blonde . Smell is bitter , bit florally hopped . Taste is hoppy, slightly bitter. Very nice sweet maltyness that gets intenser towards the ending Perhaps a bit thin, but otherwise damn fine beer

12 fl.oz., BB Jun2014, Bottle at ShakeShack, Grand Central Station.
Ale Starts malty, fresh. Highly drinkable. The mainpart is Bitter-typical, a bit roasted, malty-dry with nice hints of bittering hops. The aftertaste is long, highly drinkable, malty-dry and nicely roasted-bitter.
Nice session Bitter, but could be a bit deeper in aroma. --> 10/12/10/10

Draft at Shake Shack on 18th in Washington DC. Poured a pretty clear copper color with very light citrus and malt notes. Flavor was biscuit malts, some light hops. Mostly inoffensive.

On tap @ Shake Shakespeare. A light cloudy deep golden one with a small islandy off-white lager head. Smells nice, but I just want to drink! It's so damn hot outside today and I'm sooo thirsty! Tastes alright. Not to far off a regular pilsner really, except it has a nice body and mouthfeel. Almost a bit thick in the mouth. Slightly fruity in the finish also and it feels balanced with a gentle bitterness in the aftertaste. Not bad at all, but I think even the saddest old pale lager would be sufficient for me right about now. 24.06.2013
