330ml bottle kindly shared by Elisabeth & Stefan at our back to school session. Tight, beige head resting on top of a jet black body. Dotted spots at the glassware. Promising aroma of roasted, dark chocolate malts. Cocoa and bitter anise in the flavour character. Bitterness from dark fruits to the ending. Tasty (Tromsø, 20.08.2012).

On tap at Micro Bar in Reykjavik. Dark pour with a froth head. Mild aroma of toasted malt. Hint of code in the taste. Overall a pleasant stout, if a bit on the watery side.

Tap @ Micro Bar. Black appearance with a big foamy, light brown head. Milky, light coffee, light anise, milk chocolate, a touch charred aroma. Charred, strong anise, black licorice, milk chocolate, burnt flavor that’s pretty light bodied.

Bottled 330ml (Petalax, BBE 2011)
Opaque black/brown color, thick brown color, lace. Aroma has tobacco and roasted notes. Medium-bodied. Quite roasted flavor, feels more than 5.6%. Licorice, some hoppyness in the finish. Probably the best beer from Iceland so far.

Bottled at Íslenski , Reykjavík. Completely black, firm beige head. Rich aromna of tobacco and licorice. Dry, soft and gentle with rich, seemless roasty flavours of cocoa and tobacco. Mild but growing bitterness. Fantastic stuff! Flavourful, edgleless and hugely drinkable!
