Bottle from Systembolaget beställningssortiment. Black with a small head. Roasted malt, mild bourbon, chocolate, licorice and notes of dark bread. Warming alcohol in the finish.

Stor ölprovning efter badet med Peter. Denna andra imp stout för kvällen doftar bourbon 🥃 choklad 👍Lovavde start. Nu klunkar jag. Torr rostad malt med lite ek och svagt bourbon och svagt vanilj . Torr torr . Sen i avslutningen . Ja en del nyktrare personer kallar det eftersmaken .Där är det ek och lite liiiiite torr chokad .Var fan tar bourbonen vägen??? Obalanserad öl. Synd på lovavde start.

Svart med ett litet skum. Doft av söt lakrits, honung och lite träkol. Mjuk och rund smak av söt söt lakrits och honung. Den värmande alkoholen kärvar till det lite på slutet.

Bottle. Blackish beer with a brown head. Bourbon and toffee aroma with maple and light marshmallow. Bourbon and chocolate flavor with citrus, caramel, and rich malt. Medium bodied. Bourbon and citrus linger with chocolate and caramel.

Bottle shared by John, thanks! Pours near black with a grayish brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has earthy roast and chocolate with a bit of maple and vanilla underlying. Flavor has earthy dark grains and roast with a bit of chocolate and a good amount of maple in the finish.

Bottle from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours very dark brown with a slight, transient, dark tan head. Aroma of maple syrup with chocolate and bourbon notes. Med body. Flavor burnt malt, bourbon, chocolate, wood, and some maple aspects in the finish. Quite dry for me. Bitter from burnt malt and heat I think. Like it!

Bottle. A- Roasty, cocoa. A- Black color, black liquid, minimal head. T- Roasty, char, bitter, cocoa. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, dry finish. O- Very dry and bitter. No maple or vanilla detectable. These Black Butte Anniversary beers just seem to get worse each year. Maybe it's just an off bottle but it wasn't stellar.

12 oz bottle, very pleased to see this in the smaller format. Very dark brown in color with barely a thin ring of brown head. Pleasant aroma is sweet with bourbon barrel and vanilla. Chocolate emerges in the flavor, along with roasted malt and more barrel notes. Deeply sweet, but not cloyingly so. Nothing really stands out except the barrel influence which is spot-on perfect. Too easy to drink for a 12% brew.

12 oz. bottle, pours black with a very small tan head. Aroma brings out dusty dry cocoa powder, with very subdued maple syrup and a little barrel character. Flavour is rich and decadent, with loads of chocolate, bourbon and vanilla cohering wonderfully, with just a touch of maple syrup. Complex and rounded, but nowhere close to cloying or brutal. The chocolate really stands out, and melds with the barrels well. Below average sweetness for the style. Wonderful.
