Ferdinand is a classic Vienna style lager brewed with continental European malt (Vienna, Pilsner, Munich) and hop varieties. The Vienna and Munich malts bring a complex and delicate toasty malt flavour and aroma and the Tettnanger hops lend an almost spicy aroma. This is a very traditional reginal style lager that is balanced, crisp and complex.

473mL can. Pours clear copper with small foamy white head. Aroma slightly sweet with lightly roasted malts. Flavour has slightly tangy toasted malts. Some gingery spice on the finish. Well-carbonated in the mouth. Pleasant.

Okay lighter clear copper body and okay foam. Aroma is very weak caramel, almost like it's not there. Taste is all caramel, maybe vague honeyed cracker, ends full and smooth enough. Sure it's vaguely okay but comes across as incredibly boring.

Beautiful colour, copper to amber, clear, with medium sized head. The aroma is moderately bready, followed by a hint of grassy hops. Medium body strength; strong bread flavour, accents of caramel, some lager esters, and correct bitterness.
Balanced and fruity. Good.

Poured from the tap. Clear copper gold with small white head. Toasted malt, some multigrain, mild hopping. Decent.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is very faint, with gentle toasted malt, but little else to discern. Flavour is medium sweet, with cereal malt sweetness, some straw, and toasted bread. Seems sweeter yet less malty than an authentic Vienna. It's alright.
