It is a delicious witbier, wheat, fruity, banana, creamy sensation due to the wheat, some hop, well balanced.

Belgian witbier as interpreted by a French brewery, from a 75 cl bottle shared by tderoeck, cheers! Snow white, bubbly, open head, cloudy beige-hued straw blonde robe. Aroma of soggy white bread, green banana, pickled sour-sweet gherkin or raw Kohlrabi (oddly!), radish even, ripe cucumber, some coriander in the background (a more trusted aroma in this kind of beer), stewed sorrel, rainwater. Fruity, tart-ish onset, cucumber, green pear and green banana notes, medum carb, slick wheat body with that sourish edge continuing, grainy middle with – strangely and unexpectedly – an ‘underdose’ of coriander seed. Citrus peel does appear, in a dullish kind of way; hop bitterness – as is traditional in a ‘blancheke’ – remains very mild, if present at all. Bland and thin witbier, with a very odd sour off-flavour to it that strongly reminded me of raw Kohlrabi and pickled gherkin or cucumber, something I never encountered in a Belgian wit… Totally different from my expectations, but not necessarily more agreeable because of it.

Bottle shared at Brewver Belgian Winter Gathering. Clear pale yellow golden color, no head. Aroma and flavor are wheat, only distant notes of other stuff like light cucumber or fruity hints. Hmm a bit disappointing.

Slightly cloudy very ligh yellowish beige beer, small creamy white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: fruity start, some banana, yeasty, a bit sourish impression. MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: weird, sourish, a bit infected, very yeasty, a bit lemony, soapy. Aftertaste: pretty lemony, unpleasant bitterness, a bit acidic, weird, very yeasty, floral notes, very metallic, a little soapy in the finish.

Clear pale straw, very light in color. Small head. Soft wheat, watery, light zesty, coriander maybe, cucumber, kiwi. Light sweet, sour and bitter. Over light bodied. Quite thin and light but not bad.

Bouteille 75cl @ Belgian Winter gathering 01 March 2025 – Tim’s place, thanks Mat.
BB 11/2024. Batch# B2799.

330ml bottle from the brewery. Pours a hazed golden orange, bubbly white head that recedes swiftly. A little bland, distant sour.. feel myself searching and grasping for blanche elements but not much forthcoming, the beer dissipating on the palate before you get a chance. Not the best unfortunately

Bottiglia. Il gusto al naso propende per il frumento. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera normale, permanendo in maniera sufficiente.
