Draught @ Stone’s, Helsinki. Okay, easy going and malty ESB with some grassy bitterness and earthy notes.

Tasted from batch reported to be flawed by the brewery. Smell of mead. Deep amber colour, extreme beige head. Aroma of raisins, rubber, butter, some hops and spruce in finish. Extreme carbon. Mostly bitter. Let’s hope they make another batch of this.

33cl bottle. Poured amber, unclear with a thick white head. Some berries hit me directly as i open the bottle. Biscuity malty notes. Flavor has the same berry notes, even stronger. Strawberry jam more exactly. Some fruity bitterness in finish. somewhat easy to drink, but quite dull in flavor and aroma. Think this is their poorest beer so far, usually top notch brews from this brewery.

Bottle 0.33l at home, Nivala. BBE 05/10/16. Enjoyed straight from the bottle. Aromas and flavours: Grain, some berries, hints of fruits and some malts. ESB is very challenging beer style for all the Finnish microbreweries.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - 05/10/16, 20160205) The beer poured deep amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had berries, sweetness and earth. Palate was medium bodied with quite high carbonation. Flavours were earth, grass, molasses and acrid bitterness. Aftertaste was bitter. Unfortunately an unpleasant brew from usually solid brewery.

Bottled 330ml (Alko)
Amber color, small steady off-white head. Nuts, berries, overfermented raisins and caramel in the nose. Light-bodied. Watery front. Then light nutty notes, raisin-like faint sweetness and then some bitterness. Weird unbalanced and homebrewish stuff. Suprisingly weak one from Maku.

A brown beer with a orange notes, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has strongly bready, some wood and red berries, brittish. Aroma has also some unpleasant and overriped fruitness. Taste is bready, sour bread, nice bitterness but that’s quite short. Medium bodied, palate could be more smoother. Typical notes that are in the style, but nothing more. Bready.

Bottled@Little Pub, Vaasa. Reddish amber hazy colour with a small white head. Aroma is berries, toffee, some sweet floral notes as well as mild resin to it. Flavour is resin, sour wood, mild grains and some dusty bitterness. The berries come in in a rather harsh way. And not all too much ESB in this...
