Bottled (backlog, thanks Joona!). Murky reddish brown colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is berries, spices, mild yeasty notes as well as some slight acidic notes to it. Flavour is bananas, caramel, mild spices, bread and some earthiness.

(As Pihamaan Sahti - poured from a jug at Gallows Bird Kekri ’10) The beer had correct appearance: brown and cloudy without any proper head formation. Strong juniper aroma with some malty notes. The juniper was the strongest flavour in the taste, too. Other flavours were mild roastedness, malts, molasses and mild bitterness. I found this sahti quite balanced. The lack of banana and too strong sweetness were really good thing. Sadly the Pihamaa brews don’t usually have solid quality level.
