(Keg at William K Kurvi, 20131229) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and almost white. Aroma had malts, molasses and herbalness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, molasses, mildly toasted malts, caramel, grass and bitterness. Afteraste was malty, grassy and bitter. A decent bock. The herbalness was somewhat off-putting.

Aroma is sweet and malty with honey, some hay and grainy tones. Flavour has licorice, honey, some malt and grain. Finishes with hay. Also some distant woody and berry tones. A solid bock - perhaps slightly thin and straightforward though.
