SWING TOP 33 CL. Dark ruby-brown, beige head. Sweet molasses in the nose, dark caramel, nutty fortified wine, some medicinal herbal vermouth too. Taste: light roasty and medicinal sweetness, warming alcohol, in a light easy drinking body. The finish has some soy sauce salty notes that makes it even less sweet and more drinkable. An excellent and distinct beer.

Bottle @ DØE Øllets Dag 2014, Kolding. Pours slightly hazy dark copper brown with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of roast, hops and metal, with hints of malt and yeast. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt, with heavy notes of roast and hops, and touches of nuts and metal. Bitter aftertaste. Okay but would be better without the metallic element.

Sampled at VANØ annual meeting 2014. Clear, deep amber body with a small tan head. Aroma is slightly roasted caramel’ish malt and some dry fruit with an impression of dust or maybe lacquer. Flavor is medium sweet, toast, toffee, slightly hint of dry fruit, moderate bitterness and some of the same impression from aroma of dusty cellar or lacquer. Medium body and moderate in aftertaste. OK drinkable, but nothing really impressive going on.
