Tasting at Ryan's, bottle
Pitch black colour, brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, cacao and dark chocolate, intense, roasted nuts, some dark malt sourness. Full bodied, the mouthfeel is smooth; it's sweet, but balanced perfectly by the roastiness; waves of roasted nuts, roasted malts, dark chocolate, with hints of tobacco, tar, liquorice; and finishing with comforting, warming alcohol.
Wonderful.

Poured from 750mL bottle. Black with small tan head. Soy sauce, chocolate, hint of leather, touch of dark fruit sourness. Thick body. Flavour is nice, but the sour character on the nose combined with the soy sauce notes clashes.

750ml (thx, Alec B.!) @ Ryan's. Appearance: very dark brown with a creamy beige head. Aroma: bourbon barrel, a bit of burnt wood and dark fruits. Taste: along the same lines with a bit of molasses, a bit smoky and roasty. Moderately sweet. Overall: a nice representative of the no-adjuncts stout.

Jet black with a small brown head. Dark molasses and chocolate notes. Dark sweet molasses and a touch of bitterness and heat. Rich and thick.
