When you brew a serious Pilsner it deserves a serious name. Vlad is no compromise. This guy slays it! If you get stuck on this beer, we won’t be surprised. And if you ever read a book about Vlad the Impaler, Whoa! Look out. Grab a glass of Vlad. He was serious too.

Sample at The Ohio Taproom. Clear pale golden color with a thin white head that burns away quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lace. Floral hops, malt and fruit in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of grassy hop, fruit and biscuit malt. The finish is fruity with a mild hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

Can, very clear pale yellow, rapidly fading white head. Lean brisk pils nose but mostly a neutral olfactory. Not as much sharp bitter pils bite at first. pretty good carbonation. Yes, thru the middle the taste remains reserved and easy to deal with. Lacks tendency of most domestic pils to be over the top in sharpness. Towards the end I'm digging this; it certainly has the feel of a real euro pils yet its well behaved and natural in its own way. Ends with a note of refreshment and somewhat, satisfaction. Better than expected.

Lemon, biscuit malt, and grass aroma. Hazy golden yellow with large white head and mild effervescence. Mildly sweet lemon, biscuit malt, and mildly bitter grass flavor. Good body. Very nice.
