Bottle from a local bottle shop. Aroma is strong wood with caramel, toffee, dried red fruits, whiskey, raisins, more caramel and oak. Flavour is medium sweet, lightly alcohol. Body is medium, feels a bit thin for the style. Carbonation is very low. Heavy on the barrel, palate could be a bit better.

Smooth and fruity beginning. Easy to drink, grainy with hints of whisky. Round and refreshing but not too deep, the beer is smooth malty sweetish, not too deep with woody but not too intense whisky hints in the back.

33cl bottle. A clear orange brown beer with a small beige lacing. Aroma of strong riped fruits, raisins, plums, liquorice. Taste of strong dark caramelized malt, sweet riped fruits, dried fruits, boozy finish.

Dunkler, weich malziger Beginn fast ohne Karbonisierung. Vanille, Whiskey, cremig, viel Alkohol. Unsüffig, was aber nicht sonderlich schlimm ist, langer Ausklang. 10/12/11/12/9/12

Bottle. Murky dark brown color. Toffee, oak, dried red fruit and whisky in the aroma. Sweet, alcoholic flavor with dried red fruit, licorice, whisky, lots of oak. Hardly any carbon. The effect of the oak aging is obvious. Tasty, smooth, but more wood as fruit.

Bottle [thanks Bierkoning!] at home. Unclear brown color, small white to off-white head. Aroma is sweetish with firm barrel aging in there. Flavor is malts, clear barrel aging coming through without overpowering / dominating liquor. Very well done imo. Now it really adds an interesting dimension to the beer. I like this one. Quite lovely. Cheers Jurgen & Geralda! 8-4-8-4-17
