Smell of roasted malt, some tar. Dark brown colour, small brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, some peat, licorice, ash. Slightly stuffy. Flat carbon. Bitter, lightly sweet.

33 cl bottle @ Hirvihuhta, BBE Aroma has sweetish licorice and some licorice root - quite nothing else. Flavour has licorice, some toasted notes. Finishes with deeper roastiness and distant metallic tones. Finishes with lingering licorice and more metallic vibes. Quite good and balanced licorice porter.

Dark ruby colour, small beige head. Toasted licorice aroma. Light-bodied. Toasted with strong licorice and hops in the flavour. This is interesting brew but you need to love licorice powder.
