Proto-sarjamme jatkuu talvikauden kunniaksi todellisella erikoisherkulla, nimittäin minttusuklaaoluella! Sen runkona toimii kevyesti humaloitu, täyteläinen ja suklaisen maltainen portteri, jonka makua Malmgårdin peltojen emmervilja mukavasti pehmentää. Muun muassa raakakaakaota ja piparminttua sisältävä ”salainen suklaaseos” täyttää aistit tumman suklaan, kaakaon ja mintun aromeilla. Lopputulos herättänee niin yllättyneitä huudahduksia kuin riemun kiljahduksiakin.

--Sample, thanks oh6gdx! -- Hazy dark brown, small head. Aroma of peppermint and chocolate. Sweet with medium body and clean rounded mouthfeel. Feels like they made a diluted Marianne chocolate peppermint candy liqueur.

5.5 % Smell of roasted malt, mint, chocolate. Dark brown colour, light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, mint chocolate. Soft carbon. Sweet. Odd.

Draught@Angleterre, Helsinki. Black colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is very dark chocolate, some minthe and mild ashy tones. Flavour is dark chocolate, minthe, some nutty and mild coffeeish tones with some ashes. A bit like having burnt After Eight....

On tap @ Bruuveri, Helsinki. Black beer with light beige stable head. Aroma has mint and chocolate. Flavor has mint and chocolate too with some malt. Medium- body. Totally a glass full of After Eight!

(Cask at Angleterre, 20191205) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had After Eight chocolate bits and burnt malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were After Eight chocolate, sweetness, burnt malts and bitterness. Aftertaste had mint and bitterness. A too spicy burnt brew.

Tap at Bruuveri. Opaque colour and small beige head and lace. Strong After Eight mint chocolaty nose. Light to medium-bodied. Flavour is a bit drier, toasted malts and mint. Sharp, artifical flavours.

Cask at Angleterre, Helsinki. Color is dark brown with small bubbly head. Aromas and flavours: Chocolate, mint, candies.... Simple and lots of mint... too much.
