Keg at the hop locker. A milky golden orange coloured pour with a fine white head. Aroma is earthy wheat grains, chalk, orange rind,. Flavour is composed earthy wheat. Chalk, prickly. Wallpaper paste, orange rind. Palate is dry, v grainy, moderate carbonation. Meh. No really a kernel beer.

Bottle from the brewery. It pours clear pale gold with a small white head. The aroma doughy bread, cereal, wheat, spiced, herbal and citrus peel. The taste is dry, tangy citrus peel, waxy, fragrant, spiced, herbal, straw, wheat and slightly soapy aspect with a drying finish. Light - medium body and fine carbonation. A bit washed out and light. Doesn't taste or feel like a Kernel beer... A bit run of the mill.

Bottle from Cork & Cask. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. No visible carbonation. Aroma of orange peel, stale bread and herbs. Flavour of biscuit and white pepper. Thin body with a flat mouthfeel. This lacks the brightness and crispness of the best Witbiers I’ve tasted.
