Bottle from the brewery in Bermondsey and drunk at home. Clear gold orange colour thin collar of white bubbles. Some decent esters in the mouth, some good orange flavours, some lime and lemon flavour. Good bitter finish. Some herb bitter hop finish. Decent.

Bottled 330ml (BGz)
Hazy yellow colour, mostly vanishing white head. Wheaty coriander aroma in the nose. Light-bodied. Wheaty maltyness, coriander, some tart notes, maybe from orange peels, odd grainy vibe in the background. Witbier is one of my least favourite styles and even The Kernel can't do magic with the style.

Draft. A hazy yellow beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of wheat, lemons, and coriander. The flavor is sweet with notes of lemons, coriander, and wheat, leading to a dry wheaty finish.

A Kernel Witbier? Been drinking beers from this fantastic brewery since the get go, but this was a suprise! Hazy gold, with a small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, decent fine minerally carbonation. From here it's pretty much standard stuff, clean but standard. Wheaty malts, smooth. Some mellow esters. Mild citrus and a little floral coriander. Light finish. A solid foundation, look forward to seeing Kernel putting there own spin on future versions.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at Clapton Craft. Pours clear gold with a creamy, pure white head. Somewhat tasty but really doesn't hit the style. A little sweet and grainy, a few wheat flakes, lemon peel, cereal. Light bodied with soft, massaging carbonation. Finishes with some mellow herbal notes, a little white pepper, crispy wheat flakes, some doughy bread. So so overall. Could do with some tweaking.

Keg at HL3, 31/07/18. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is lemon rind, orange peel, straw, grass, light spice, grains. Taste comprises wheaten bread, grassy, lemon rind, light herbal notes, stale bread, faint white peppery spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light trace of hops. Fine for the style.
