Appearance- amber, hint of gold, a big foamy white head. Aroma- pineapple, orange, citrus fruit, mango and stone fruit hints. Lots of fruity hops. Taste- plenty of hop bitterness, orange, pineapple, hint of tropical fruit. Lengthy clinging bitterness, undercurrent of caramel malt.

Palate - Soft carb, medium to full body, alcohol well hidden, smooth, good bitter sweet balance, slightly oily. Finish - Bitter grassy zest linger
Overall - Quite a decent DIPA

Bubbly white head left a frothy cover on a finely effervescent dark orange coloured body. Huge aroma of orange, sweet citrus, hops, & onion. Medium bodied, feels airy on the palate with a soft dry back. Sweet citrus, mango, pine, spice, garlic & onion tastes with malt hints & a peppery finish.

Level 42 bottleshare. Thanks to Fergus for the can. Bright clear burnished gold beer, good cream colour head. Palate is airy, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Thin malts, some light creamy sweetness. Some bitterness in the mid, little orange peel. Nibbly hop spice. Soft piney hop on the back end. Decent but no fireworks.

Can from Gedeelde Vreugde, my first one from this Michigan brewery. Medium thick, bit frothy, lightly lacing, moussy, off-white head, thinning but more or less stable, pale orange blonde robe with warm golden hue, some tiny yeast dots here and there but otherwise clear, well carbonated. Dank and very citrusy aroma, grapefruit juice, mandarins, old lime, sweet red onions sweating in frying oil, yellow curry, marijuana, gin, dry paprika powder, old white bread, mustard seed, old cheese (aging hops - this can was almost seven months old). Clean fruity onset, hints of dried mango and apricot, but only very restrainedly sweetish, with a light sourish touch; lots of orange peel-like freshness from the hops, already at the start. Medium carbo, supple and oily mouthfeel, feeling lighter than 8.4% ABV in fact. Thinly biscuity, bit cereally but pleasantly rounded, though perhaps slightly too 'meagre' malt backbone, a tad toasty in the end; long, evidently very hop bitter finish, lots of retronasal dried grapefruit and orange peel, peppercorns, olive oil, wormwood, cheese and pine resin - and a lingering, resiny bitterness at the back of the mouth, in a clean, well-fitting way. Classic West Coast style IPA at 'double' alcohol level, feels lighter than it is, the alcohol is very well hidden and the hops are well-applied. Nice.

Kräftig im Trunk, dabei leicht süß, Honig wie ein heller Bock, sehr gut trinkbar. Hinten leicht bitter, fruchtig, schöne Komposition, aber zu sehr im Mittel. Trotzdem gutes Ding.

Can split at L42, thanks to Kenny, 26/09/17. Clear golden with a decent egg shell white covering. Nose is caramel malts, grains, biscuit, orange pith, grassy hop tunes. Taste comprises bitter orange, damp grass, caramel, grapefruit, toasted grains, light balancing spice. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi aggressive ho pbitterness in a drying close. Passable DIPA ... a touch too Old Skool for this Bois's lips.
