Can at Grand Trunk. Pours a clear orange gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has a good amount of earthy citrus with some onion, grass and grains supporting. Flavor has lots of earthy citrus and grass with earthy grains backing.

Can at Beer Study bottle share in Durham. Hazy yellow color. Fruity aroma. taste is lightly bitter summer fruit.

Can. Pours a clear orangish gold with a finger or so of white foam and aromas of melon and pine. Flavor is kind of heavy with melon and a touch of resin and a thick sugary sweetness that balances it out. It’s kind of run of the mill for a DIPA, but it’s a very good run of the mill.

16 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours crystal clear deep orange/copper color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, papaya, berry, lemon/orange peel, light pepper, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate malt notes; with great strength. Taste big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, papaya, berry, lemon/orange peel, light pepper, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, papaya, berry, lemon/orange rind, pepper, pine, toasted bread, and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and minimal lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, sticky/resinous, and fairly creamy/grainy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an awesome DIPA! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV. Very bright, juicy, and fairly dank on hop aromas/flavors; and not too malty or sweet. A very enjoyable offering.
