Apples, honey and ginger complete the nose of this o.t.s. wine. We take fresh ground ginger root, grind it down and add it to a stainless tank with apple cider and our honey. It ferments together, bringing a clean, crisp cyser with a ginger snap finish.

Pours clear rose gold. There’s a mild ginger aroma. The flavor is led by the ginger, then honey, with some apple underlying it adding a bit of tartness. Interesting and tasty.

Bottle from winery. Fresh apple and musty ginger aroma. Slightly hazed pale yellow. Earthy/musty ginger and dry green apple flavor. Light body. Ginger flavor was disappointingly not snappy, with none of the expected zing. This is the first McClure’s I’ve tried that didn’t live up to expectations.
