tap - Pours a dark copper color with a light tan, small, thick, lingering head that laces heavily. The mild aroma is of caramel and maybe a little citrus but I had a hard time noticing. The flavor hits with some sweet caramel malt first before moving to a moderately bitter fruity hop dominated taste. It finishes with moderate bitterness. I was told by one waitress that this beer is around 8.5 to 9% abv and by another that it was 8%. I see the first reviewer was told 7%. Odd. On a style note, to me the pronounced bitterness puts it more in the American Strong Ale category. I suppose that could be a fine line with some beers though.

Draft at brewery. Big buttery caramel malt and berry aroma. Deep amber with a small off-white head, thick lacing. Sweet fruity caramel malt flavor, with a little alcohol apparent. Medium body, flat to soft carbonation.
