Draft in a bottle from lowcostbeer. Pours black with thin beige head. Aroma of sweetness, roasted malt, molasses, chocolate, liquorice. Taste is malty with a lovely chocolate and roast flavour, some caramel, and hoppy bitterness. Medium to full bodied. Very tasty.

Tap at Bottle Grove, Eastbourne. Poured almost black with a thin tan head. The aroma is big roasty malt, creamy caramel and boozy alcohol. The flavour is moderate sweet and liqourice bitter, with a smooth, rich, roasty, boozy alcohol, liqourice, light chocolate palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Keg (bottled) from Smiling Grape, St Neots, Cambs. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a huge beige head on top. Rich, roasty, malty, chocolate, caramel taste/aroma. Very rich, slightly sweet, this was a real surprise, excellent smooth stout from Downlands.
