Bottle at a bar, red coloured beer, small head. Aroma is cherry, malt, fruit. Taste is the same, cherry, some bitterness, some sweetness, not overly sweet imho, not bad/

500ml can: BB 8th December 2022. Poured into my Kwak glass at home on 22nd September 2022. Looked lovely, clean and clear 'rouge' body with a pink head. Sweet and semi-sour cherries dominate the aroma and taste with the alcohol also noticeable as is some marzipan like flavour. I liked it, but most 'kriek' traditionalists will hate the beer.

Clear pale red beer, small creamy off-white to light pink head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of marzipan, amaretto, almonds, sugary, cherry flavoured candy. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sugary, alcohol, cherry flavourings, meh. Aftertaste: oxidized, fruity, more oxidation notes, bitter and pretty unpleasant. Definitely a different beer than Cara Rouge, and not as horrible, to be honest.

Cuivre, col fin rosé.
Arôme donne d'emblée ce côté sirupeux de sucre résiduel et de fruité chargé en arômes - le reste du malté en devient anecdotique.
Palais garde uen rondeur maltée pour expliquer son taux d'alcool, douceur résiduelle perdure tout au long de cerise avec cet effet dégueulasse de collant aux lèvres.

Huge, pale pink, bubbly head, fed by lively carbonated amberish deep-red beer. Cherry sweets' nose, poepekes , red fruitsyrup. Same in the flavour. Cherry syrup, cherry concentrate; but for the finish, where there is a velvet-like, darker malts' flavour, faintly woody-ish bitterishness. Faint acidity, giving the impression of being added. Bit sticky, short of cloying. At least medium bodied, very well-carbonated. That name! "Rouge". It is obvious that the Brussels' ketjes have taken over Bosteels. Then again, it fits for this syrupy concoction.

Bottle from Dranken Vandewoude and drunk with Nelson. Deep red ruby colour lasting pink head. it has some artificial red fryit flavour. sweetish. strong in flavour and abv. cherries. touch of almond on aroma. terribly artificial in terms of fruit and too sweet. OK

Bottle from Sandersput, Ninove. Clear red, stable, thin, pink head. Aroma of sweet cherry, cherry candy, red candy in general, syrup, cuberdon, industrial marzipan. Taste has very sweet cherry & strawberry candy, syrupy and sugary, weirdly herbal like tooth paste and somewhat marzipan-like doughy. Sweet finish; very, very vaguely herbal hoppy, mostly cloying candy, artificial cherry and red apple flavourings and warming alcohol hinting at (the terrible) 'red vodka'. Medium body, syrupy-sticky texture, soft carbonation. Too sweet, artificial and fake; thanks for nothing, AB InBev.

Op tap bij Graspop '22. Diep rood-amber kleur, lichtroze kraag. Kersen, marsepein, ruikt vrij zoet, smaak is licht zuur, kersen, moutig, zoete Kwak-basis, licht bitter. Medium body. Tussen alle Jupiler door was dit redelijk verfrissend.

Flesje gedronken tijdens verjaardag. Donkerrood bier met rose schuim dat als een film blijft liggen. Aroma van kersen, bosbessen en frambozen. Smaak is zoet waar de kers en de framboos doorheen komt. het lijkt veel op de smaak van een wijnbal; kermissnoep. De nasmaak is iets wrang.
