When our good friends at Oregon Fruit Products let us know about their new prickly pear puree, we couldn’t resist.
This kettle sour is composed of pale row 2 malt and generous amounts of unmalted wheat and oats. After souring the wort it is fermented and aged, we then added a healthy dose of real prickly pear puree before packaging this fresh, juicy and tart ale.

Prickly pear is OK but it's mostly just sour grapefruit. Pours pinkish. Tangy finish. Can shared by a friend in Edmonton.

473ml can. Pours a hazy orange-pink with a thin, fizzy, short lived, off-white head that leaves spotty lacing. Mild aroma of grainy wheat, watermelon, agave and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of grainy wheat, passion fruit, watermelon, agave and floral hops in a dry, tart, almost sour finish. Light body with a syrupy texture and lively carbonation. Tasty and refreshing after mowing the lawn.
