Are we still best friends? YUP! Hard to believe that a year ago we launched the first Valentine’s Day collaboration with the fantastic team down the street at Eighty-Eight Brewing Company, and that our mutual appreciation club is still going strong!
This year for our Love Shack collaboration we’ve switched out the passionfruit and subbed in mango. This Hazy Mango IPA is a 6.8% beauty that is simply exploding with tropical flavour and aroma with subtle bitterness from a ridiculous amount of Citra, Talus and Citra Cryo hops. It’s love at first sip.
Here’s how it works. Both breweries have lovingly crafted a version of Love Shack, with complimentary broken heart can designs – Cabin’s cans show the left side of the design, while ’88’s show the right. They're great on their own but like PB + J and Simon + Garfunkel, some things are just better together. We recommend trying a mix pack – it’s the same recipe, but there are subtle differences in flavour, aroma and body. Try them both out and play spot the difference!

473ml can. Pours a cloudy orange-gold with yeast particles that sink to the bottom and a medium, foamy, short lived, white head that leaves soapy lacing. Sweet fruity aroma of bready wheat malt, grapefruit, mango, peach, earthy yeast and piney hops. Sweet fruity flavour of bready wheat malt, orange peel, grapefruit, tangerine, mango, peach, earthy yeast and piney hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with a smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Juicy and delicious, but I found the '88 version to be a little better.
