As we present ourselves as a CO2 neutral brewery, it is with regret that we must admit that this beer is not so climate friendly.
Unfortunately, our wood pellet burner was damaged due to a fire in a brewery building. This meant that to make this beer, we had to reconnect our old oil burner again to provide the heat for the brew - we would like to apologize for this. The wood pellet burner is now repaired, and we will not be using oil again. Dirty Danish Oil is a strong stout with 12% ABV and we have brewed it as black and thick as possible – giving an almost oil-like appearance. A full-bodied beer with adequate bitterness and hints of malt, coffee and dark chocolate.

(Keg at St Urho's Pub, 20200220) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, sweetness and liquorice. Palate was full bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, dark chocolate, liquorice, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was ashy, burnt and bitter. A tasty ashy brew that hid its high ABV way too well.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours thick, opaque black with a dense and creamy light brown head. Roast and dark chocolate in the nose. Rich, sweet and very sugary with an odd, unclean off-note. Roast is there, but even there there's something disturbing and unclean. Heavy licorice notes and very thick but it's strangely unclean. 130120
