Sample (thanks fonefan!). Brown colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is chocolate, toffee, some mild floral tones with fudge and mild toast. Flavour is fudge, some sweet malts, mild roasted and toasted tones with mild bready and rye elements. Very smooth and nice winter beer, which has elements from both Porter and Brown Ale.

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Clear dark brown, small head. Dark brown, small head. Aroma of dark fruit and licorice. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Coffee and dark fruit and licorice. Resinous bitter finish. Solid!

[ As Hornbeer Brown Winter ].
ABV: 6.3%. Clear medium to dark red brown colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - roasted - dark malt, caramel, sweet malt, sweet dark malt, sweet licorice. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a long duration, dark malt, sweet malt, anis seed - belgian yeast, malt bitter, light to moderate sweet licorice, light to moderate dark malt - coffee - dark chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to lively. [20220422]
