Bottle from local Coop. Aroma is softly roasted malt, caramel, raisins, with some mild spicy notes and a hint of liquorice and chocolate. Flavour is medium sweet with a pleasant moderate roasty bitterness in the finish. Body is medium. Not a bad Dubbel, has some fine roasty notes, light on the candy sugar with a spicy touch and an above-average bitterness for the style.

Bottle. Brown color. Malt and caramel in the simple aroma. Malty sweet, roasty flavor with caramel and a hint of pear. Not unpleasant.

Bottle shared by Inoven. Somewhat unclear dark amber color, medium sized tan head. Huge amount of Unidentified Floating Objects in there, also know as floaties or yeast residu. Anyway. Aroma is lightly malts, sweet candy, I get (Dutch) "die oud hollandse frambozen snoepjes, die harde sabbel dingen" and maybe a distant a touch of raisins. Flavor is malts, light caramel, perhaps some caramelized sugars, again a touch of sweet candy and quite sweet. Not very good as an Abbey Dubbel imo, and the floaties aren't appealing, but otherwise, oh well, drinkable.

Flesje gekregen van Tomhendriksen en gedronken met Benzai. Roodbruin bier met in het tweede glas behoorlijk wat residu (floaties zoals ik nu geleerd heb). Aroma van frambozen snoepjes en dropachtig. Smaak van karamel en fruit. Nasmaak is licht bitter. Het glas met de residu was iets zachter van smaak.

Fles gekocht bij Coop Wintelre, geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een donkergeel/lichtbruin bier met een volle schuimkraag. Het heeft een zachte moutige en karamelachtige smaak.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Coop Culemborg. Clear brown with an off-white head. Caramel en malt aroma. Taste is sweetish with also some bitterness and body is pleasant. Decent dubbel, best beer in the Coop series.

Bottle at home, reddish/brown beer, small head. Aroma is caramel, malt, dark fruit, roasted. Taste is the same, not as overly sweet as other dubbels, bit more bitter. nice one.
