An experimental collaboration brew with Phühaste Brewery from Estonia. We smoked the malt ourselves on Japanese cherry wood and subsequently added fresh cherries to the fermenters in order to combine both wood and fruit in one delicious Stout.

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with small to average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty and slightly smoky aroma, hints of coffee, weak cherry overtones. Taste is sweet-ish, chocolately dark malty, slightly roasty, minimally smoky, notes of dark chocolate and coffee, sweet-ish fruity hints of cherry. Well balanced, harmonious, highly drinkable.

Bottle. Black/ Roast, hints of smoke, licorice and cherry in the aroma and flavor. Malty sweet, beechwood/ Suboptimal balance, but quite tasty.

6/10/2018. Bottle courtesy of Boris, cheers! Pours almost black with a beige head. Aroma of ash, peat, chocolate, smoked meat and dark fruits. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation. Acquired taste.

330ml bottle watching a French version of Lord of the Rings, from trade with Dunklermessias. Many thanks chap! Pours deep dark, large tan head. Smoky roast on the nose. Taste is grainy, with roasty, woody espresso tannin. Some underlying cherry sweetness does start to emerge alongside an ashy roasty woody finish. Fairly high carb that's a touch off-putting, could do with a little more cherry fruit, but generally it's ok.

Wenig herb. 11/10/11/11/12/11

Nice stout. Lightly smoked, good mouthfeel. Something fruity, not necessarily cherry.

Black with a limited light brown head. Aroma of roasted and toasted malts, some coffee, charcoal, light cherries, light chocolate, very light smoked malts. Taste is creamy, oily, soft, licorice, roasted and toasted malts, medium bitterness, medium sweetness, soft carbo, not much smoked malts as expected, not much cherries, however there is some sourness in the back, medium body, soft, well not that bad for a German stout
