Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is spicy with dark malt, liqourice root, anise, caramel, more spicy notes. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and light bitter. Medium body. Bit too sweet & spicy for my taste.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Hazy dark brown colored brew with an dry bitter taste with some sweetness, and some little burning in the mouth. Hints of caramel, dark chocolate and roasted malts. More of an Imperial Porter than an Doppelbock, but its an good effort. Bought it at Smaakhuis, Lisse.

Dark brown with lasting fluffy head. Strong aroma of dried Italian herbs. Well made. Nice mouthfeel. Too herbal though. It dominates.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Soft roasty nutty aroma with caramel. Malty sweet roasty nutty caramelly flavor with a hint of licorice. Low on carbon. Sticky.

Bottled 330ml (Smaakhuis) Dark brown colour, small beige head. Aroma has caramel, cinnamon, metal and cola. Light to medium-bodied, quite thin for its ABV. Sweetish caramel, light toastyness, minty notes, cinnamon, clove in the flavour. Neh, it is not robuuste smaak. I think this is Dutch-style bock so it is actually an ale.

33cl bottle. A clear reddish brown beer with a huge good lasting beige head. Aroma of moderate sweet dark malt, caramel, mint, medicine, herbs. Taste of red fruits, anis, herbs, medicine, dark malt, a bit sticky. Strange!
