This English-style barleywine ale uses floor-malted English barley, Noble hops, and is aged in 10-15 year-old, single use bourbon barrels for 16 months to bring you a complex and subtle craft beer flavor experience. Down & Dirty: Maris Otter Pale and Carafa 2 Special malts with White Wheat and Magnum and US Goldings hops.
ABV: 11.9% IBU: 30
Color: Dark brown
Aroma: Brown sugar, vanilla, caramel, toffee and other sweet aromatics, with dried fruit and some stone fruit notes. Whiskey and oak linger in the background
Flavor: High sweetness, slightly bitter and definite lingering sweetness in a medium body with alcohol warmth and mouthwatering

Surprise beer, woo, been wanting to try one of these. Big, heavy and strong, but remarkebly smooth. Rich and decadent barleywine, oldschool, lots of raisins and dried fruit, meets great bourbom barrels. Sweet, soft, touch tobacco, smooth.

Level 6 bottleshare. Thanks to Dan. Almost clear dark brown amber beer, small pale tan head. Light smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth malts. A lot of creamy sweetness and maple with good bourbon barrel fruits. A light and spicy finish.

Bottle shared in London. Cheers to Daniel. Pours clear, deep brown with a small, creamy tan head. Medium to big sweet flavour, nice toffee, light oxidation, semi-dark fruits, brown sugar. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, toasted malts, more toffee and brown sugar, dates. Tasty gear.

Bottle shared at the Columbus tasting 31/08/2022. Many thanks to Daniel Osprey. A clear caramel brown coloured pour with a halo of beige head. Aroma is semi sweet, woody brown sugars, grape, raisin loaf, warming alcoohl. grape. . Flavour is composed of medium sweet, sticky brown sugars, caramel, graepy fruit, warming alcohol. Palate is medium sweet, sticky, warming alcohol, moderate carbonation. Good.

Waxed bomber. Aroma has notes of bourbon, vanilla, raisin, sherry, overripe dark fruit, apple cider vinegar, earth, chocolate, wood, toffee. Pours very dark brown with a half finger beige head that falls into a ring quickly. Taste is highly sweet with flavors like the aroma descriptors.

Tap @MBCC 2022, Blue Session. Very dark brown, beige head. Sweet dark malt aroma, wood, bourbon. Bittersweet flaovur, rich sweet malt, sweet wood and booze.

Draught, taster. @MBCC 2022, Copenhagen (Denmark). 13/05/2022 [#4.983 Global - #700 United States of America - #5 Fremont Brewing Company] Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma: figs, sweet bourbon, vanilla and raisins. Taste: Raisins, figs, some bourbon and caramel malts. Really balanced. Lovely barleywine. Next one please!
