On tap in Willingen. Smooth grainy caramel nose. The beer starts grainy-dry. Not too easy drinkable, slightly sticky malty, grainy with dray caramel. Moderate bitter with a grainy malty dry roast in the aftertaste. Nice but for me too grainy.

500ml bottle. Clear, ruby red glowing, darkbrown colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Grainy-spicy, dark malty aroma, herbal hoppy overtones. Taste is minimally sweet dark malty, hints of malt lozenge, grainy residues, a minimally earthy and nuttily touch, dry grassy and minimally herbal hoppy overtones. Well balanced, very drinkable, nice.

Wässriger Antrunk mit spät auftretender milder Röstigkeit. Dann aber weicher, mild, noch etwas würzig werdend. Mild röstig-hefiger Ausklang. 9/7/8/9//9

From tap at Zeitgeist. Pours hazy dark brown with a creamy and off-white head. Light acidic to citric aroma. Flavour is mild roasted. Light acidic flavour. Light infected too. Mild roasted and citric into the finish. Surprised how many beers at this small festival was off - sad.

Tap - Sweet dark malt aroma - hints of molasses. Dark brown color with creamy head. Very smooth chocolate malt flavor - very little bitterness and full palate. A truly unique Landbier - I’ve never had a dunkel landbier before - a very good and different beer.
