Bottle 0,33ltr: Opaque black colored brew with no foamy head. Dry bitter taste with an little whiskey flavor, hints of licorice, dried fruits and some vanilla.

*rating overgezet 2016* Het is een diep donkerbruin bier met een dik beige schuim. Het heeft een aroma van gebrande mout en hout en fruit. De smaak is houtig en whisky achtig.

Bottle. Almost black. Malt, caramel, a hint of peat and chocolate in the aroma and flavor. Roasty sweetish flavor with soft tart citrci notes. Oaky, soft peaty finish. Not perfect but nice.

33 cl. bottle @ home, gift from Hilde. Very dark brown with a tan head. Roasted malts, peat, whisky and oak. Taste is medium bitter with a smoky, peaty edge. Medium body and below medium carbonation. Could benefit from a more solid body and some more CO2 but the taste is very decent.

Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is sugary, chocolate, toffee, peat, taste is similar, dry, little thin for the abv and not smoky enough!

Bottle shared with Joes. Opaque dark brown to black color, huge dense quite thick and a bit creamy mocha colored head that lasts for a long time. Aroma is malts, wood, heavy barrel influence clearly detectable. Weird thing is that the aroma reminds me of sherry. Taste malts, wood, barrel aging clearly present again, whiskey, some bitterness in the finish. Decent body, lightly oily texture, average to decent carbonation. Not bad.

Schenkt zwart met bruine kraag. Aroma van hout, zuur ... ? ... Zoet, rode wijn, smaken zijn dun, smooth, vanille, koffie, turf, iodine, hout, lichte chocolade, matig zoet, zwak bitter, ook deze is gewoon werr véééél te duur voor de geboden kwaliteit... Voor een paar euro erbij heb ik gewoon een goede whisky... 33cl bottle. Dark mahogany pour, pitch black in the glass with no head. Notes of whiskey, peat, dried fruit (prunes, pulled figs, raisins), dried nuts, sour cherries, sherry, roasted malts, cocoa. A bit sour from the barrel, especially in the aftertaste.
