Bottle. 6.5%, just to be awkward. Murky, dark, cola brown. Messy, sticky, lasting, pale tan head. Blimey, this smells unusual! Coffee ice cream. Bonfire toffee. Liquorice. Earthy, woody mint hop. More coffee. Taste is soft, earthy bitter. Hints of chocolatey, malty sweetness. Smooth, full mouthfeel. Huge, earthy, woody bitter finish. I’ve no idea if I like this, or not. An oddity, that makes me wonder if it’s meant to be like this. Bit of an edit: As this warms it’s pretty clear this isn’t right. Score changed from 3.4 to 3.

0,33l bottle at home. BB 31.Aug.2016. dark brown / almost black color, small tan head. smells of licorice, resin, some pines, exotic fruits, spices, bit unclean, peppery. decent smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of licorice, spices, resin, lightly citric, some grass, again very light uncleanliness (better than on the smell), lightly glueish. finishes dry and lightly bitter with notes of licorice and spices. This could have been a great beer if it wasnt for the off-notes. It was still drinkable, but the off-notes were distracting. I dont know how fresh my bottle was, but I only bought it 2-3 weeks ago. gets a bit more unpleasant when warm (-0.1)

Pours a dark brown color, topped with a big and super lasting creamy beige head Gentle sweet fruity nose with a tad of roasty character. A slight resin feel, but mostly sweet fruits and later some chocolate. Moderate bitterness, more on the gentle side with a more chocolatey finish. Sweet feel. Medium light body, lasting bittery aftertaste.

Black pour, slightly translucent, vigorous head like the ones encountered in very fresh ales. Tons of pine aroma, together with burnt sugar and some funkiness. The taste is dominated by pine, but it’s not so fresh, for some reason. Bitter aftertaste, moderately enjoyable.

Odense Late Summer Post-Munkekonge Whale Spotting Night. Dark copper with a big and lasting off-white head. Hoppy aroma of pine and grapefruit, with a hint of old-hop cheese character, and a touch of licorice. Sweetish malty flavour with citrus hops and a mild bitter finish
