N 600 puntuada....

Flaske 0,33l fra House of Trembling Madness, York. Nesten svart. Masse skum. Mye lacing. Noen klumper i ølet? Aromaen er fjøs. Smaken er sukkertøy. Avslutter tørt.

Bottle, 7,2%. Mild fruity aroma. Almost black colour, seems clear. Big stable brown head. The flavour is roasted and nicely fruity. Refreshing with a good bitterness. Fruity hop aroma. A very good example of the style.

Bottle. Pours cloudy nearly black with airy but stable light beige head. Clear aroma of hops and fruit, with citric notes. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with notes of roast and touches of citrus. Bitter and acetic aftertaste. Nice.

Keg at the Rake. It pours darkest brown with a minimal beige head. The nose is smooth, roasty, toffee, cola, toast and earth. The taste is bitter-sweet, soft roast, toast, caramel, cola, earth, liquorice, light burnt notes and decent bitterness with a dry, earthy finish. Medium body and lowish carbonation. Perhaps a bit flat, but pretty tasty. Solid CDA action, if a little uneventful.

Cask @ Urban Taphouse. Hugely enjoyable black IPA, hoppy with fresh lemon tart and a powerfully rich fruity blend with a moderate sweetness.

330ml bottle bought at the Trembling Madness Drinks shop in York. Shared with Finn back home. Rocky beige head, good amount of lacing. Dark brown body colour. Smell of dark malts, bone dry. Moderate roasted flavours of brown and black malts joined by anise and pine-like bitterness to the ending. Medium bodied. Drinking pleasure, full of soul (Tromsø 27.11.2013).
