Another tip of the hat to bierkrug. The man’s got good taste. A nice cola brown color with off-white fluffy head. Taste is bittersweet, nutty, roast grains with mild lingering aftertaste. Pleasant and drinkable, a very good dunkel.

Bottle: Clear, deep reddish-amber coloured, mid-sized off-white head, sweetish-roasty nose with a very faint hoppy tinge; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light bodied and quite soft; a bit drier in the slightly lingering roasty-caramelly finish. Gutes Dunkles...

(bottle) Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a big and beige loose foamy head. Roast-malty, melanoidic aroma with notes of caramel, bread crusts and shades of herbal hops in the background. Moderately roast-bitter and slightly sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Hearty roasty malt-character, bready and caramely taste; mildly sweet and roasty bitter finish with delicately hoppy spice. Balanced Dunkel. 02.V.12
