28/12/2022. Can shared with S&N. From CentrAle, Newcastle. Pours black with a small bubbly tan coloured head. Aroma of rum, wood, dark chocolate, brown sugar, toffee, molasses, raisins. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium to full body, slick, soft carbonation. Enjoyable.

Tried at the Nottingham Craft Beer Festival 2022. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma and taste are roasted malty, molasses, and rum. Full body.

Can from Monty's Bar. Appearance - opaque deep black. Crema black. Nose - vanilla and sweet spice. Sweet chocolate. Taste - creamy chocolate and raisins. Palate - medium bodied. Sweet middle. Overall - good.

Panda 🐼 at home thanks to Colin. A jet black coloured pour with a lasting mid tan head. Aroma is earthy roast, rum and raisin, dark choc, warming alcohol. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, light tan, mellow chocolate, cococnut, oak, rum and riasin, cakey malts, warming alcohol. some meaty roast. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, moderate carbonation.

Can at home, from Brew Cavern online, 14/01/22. Black with a decent tan covering that dissipates edgewards. Nose is roast malts, chocolate, spice, mellow rum notes, fruit cake, raisins, dates. Taste comprises mellow roast, lick of booze, molasses, rum and raisin, chocolate, fruit slice, pinch of spice. Medium bodied with bite, moderate carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. A pleasant enough and easy sipping impy if lacking a little depth.
