These blond beer ripe during several months in original used Madeira barrels. We try to make sure the barrels we buy are in the most fresh condition as possible. We guaranty all the flavours in the beers only come from the barrels.

Bottle sample @ 2nd RBBSG, August 11th 2012. Courtesy of Dave. Dorée, col épais blanc. Arôme garde des notes de ’vin rouge-porto’ mais qui reste un peu en retrait, note faible de bois, fruits rouges avec un léger caractère malté. Palais prend bien en compte un abc solide, note caramel sucré/fruité rouges de vin de Madère. En se réchauffant cette présence de barrique devient plus présente. Cette version demeure en deçà des autres versions, peut être un manque de contact. Au final, pas mal d’alcool avec un profile qui reste très belge.

Little cloudy amber beer, big white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: pretty sweet,very malty, little alcoholic, spicy, bit dusty, sugary. MF: lively carbon, medium to full body. Taste: pretty sweet, alcoholic, pretty spicy, herbal bitterness. Aftertaste: sweet malts, some caramel, little fruity, prunes.
