Bottle 750ml @ Geokkjer
Pours clear deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, dried fruits, alcohol, plums and brown sugar. Taste is heavy sweet and light bitter with a long warm, dried fruits, wood and caramel finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

Botte, 75cl corked. Wow, the cork shot out like a bullet. Not a gusher though. It’s lightly hazy, dark golden in color and with a minimal sized off-white head. The aroma is very vinous, sure influenced by the barrels, with a generic fruityness and some caramel notes. Alcohol. White sugar too, also in the flavor. Caramel notes, generic fruityness and booze. Full body, soft carbonation and a solid dose of booze. Lasting finish. Nice this one, in a way, but it’s too boozy. 150513

Sampled from bottle @ THT November. Slightly hazy orange color, average sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, some alcohol, liquor, a slight hint of vegetables. Pretty boring, although it tastes ok. Decent body, average to medium carbonation. Earlier Rating: 8/11/2012 Total Score: 3.4Sampled at RBBSG. Hazy dark orange color, no head. Smell malts, port, alcohol, sweetness. Taste malts, sweet, lightly alcohol, wood and port. Low carbo, a bit dead even, low to medium body.

Body of a strong blond beer, but the port is very dominant. Gives the beer a tasty fruity edge. Tastes like white port, so it’s not very thick. Good experiment.

Leicht hefiger, komplex dunkler Antrunk. Leicht Röstnoten, karamellig, dumpf malzig, süß. Nicht vollmundig, zum Ende zu süß, zudem recht trocken. Die Weinnoten gefallen. 11/8/9/8/10/8
