Aroma is a bit odd and floury with mild licorice tones. Flavour has ash, licorice and mild pot coffee. Finishes with some nettle-like and grapefruity hops. Unusual, a BIPA on the malty side. Nothing much.

From tap. Pours pitch black. Small tan head. Aroma is roasted and dark mslty. Bitter. Toasted, dark malty. Dry and bitter. Hoppy finish.

Keg at the brewpub. A clear dark. Mahogany brown coloured pour with a a lasting creamy tan head. Aroma is jammy fruit, raspberry, woody pine, soft roast,. Flavour is composed of mellow roast malts, toast, pine needles and jammy fruits, tangy fruit, slightly ashy roast. Palate is medium full bodied, highish carbonation,. Assertive woody pine needles., good black ipa, ticks all the boxes.

Dunkler, fruchtig hopfiger Röstantrunk. Intensiv bitter, weiche hintergründige Süße. Aromen von Bitterschokolade, cremig, rund würzig. Die Röstnoten bleiben intensiv, der Hopfen gehaltvoll, nussig, harzig. Vollmundig, langer Nachhall mit gut versteckter Bitterkeit. 12/10/12/12/9/12

Draught @ Heidenpeters, Berlin. Pours pitch black with a smooth white head. Aroma of roasty malts, hops, citrus, pine, grass and hints of coffee. Taste is smooth, creamy, slightly roasty and grassy with some chocolate, ash and herbal notes. Finish is creamy and smooth with some chocolate, mild roastiness and grassy notes. Okay, quite smooth and easy going.
