Fruit beer with apricot, sampled at the saison festival held by this brewery in June 2022. Egg-white, medium thick, moussy, irregular, opening head on a lightly hazed, warm yellow-golden beer seemingly with added yellow tinge from the apricots. Aroma of ripe apricot indeed, even apricot jam, ripe pineapple, fermenting apple peel, green melon, kombucha, sourdough, vague hint of kimchi in the background. Estery onset, pear and pineapple esters next to obvious apricot sour-sweetness stretching over the entire palate; minerally carb, slender cereally core, touch bready. Vanilla and lemon cake associations in the background, florally hopped in a soft way, with the sheer juiciness of the ripe apricot remaining dominant all the way. Decent, probably the best top-fermented apricot beer I ever had (but I would have to deeply concentrate to pull another example from sheer memory so this is easily said, I guess…).
