Keg at Toms Tap, Crewe, 07/12/19. Black with a decent tan cap. Nose is mellow roast, charr, toffee melt, cocoa powder. Taste comprises faint coffee, cocoa powder, toffee, pinch of spice, roasted bite, dried fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent enough stout.

9/2/2019. Bottle from Toms Tap & Brewhouse, Crewe. Pours very dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruit and light coffee. Medium sweetness with moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight watery and oily texture, soft carbonation. Toasted finish. Nice, light, stout.

Bottle from Tom’s Tap and Brewhouse, Crewe. Almost black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and chocolate. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet and roasted light bitter finish. 080219
