Tap at Hair ot the Dog, Phloen Chit, Bangkok Two Year Anniversary Party. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin off white head. The aroma is roasty malt, molasses, big alcohol. The flavour is moderate to strong sweet with a smooth rich, oily, sweet roast, sugary, liqoourice, molasses, dark chocolate, alcohol bitter palate. Full bodied with flat carbonation. There was supposed to be jasmine, lactose, mango and coconut in this, but the sweet malts and alcohol tend to mask most other flavours. Considering the ABV, the alcohol was reasonably well hidden, until the following morning that is... #neveragainuntilthenexttime

Can at Erzbierschof Monday Club. Pours black. Aroma is soy sauce, bread, burnt. Body is heavy, sweet, strong and oily. Almost spicy. Soft carbonation. Still bready. Sweet long, lightly boozy palate. Good, but rather overpowered.

Can shared at home with the fam - pours black with a thin tan ringed head. Aroma and taste is dark roasted and sweet malty with chocolate, some coffee, some caramel, liquorice, hoppy notes, some coconut and vanilla nuance, some charred burnt roasted malty accents into the close. Pretty solid overall.
