Bottle at home, from Yards & Crafts online, 26/11/22. Black with a tan head that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is chocolate cake, dark malts, figs, mellow roast, vanilla, touch of oak presence. Taste comprises chocolate, mellow barrel, toffee, molasses, vanilla, dark fruit rinds. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with a mellow rising boost. Not bad if lacking some depth.

Bottle, 66cl. A dark brown to black beer with a minimalistic beige head. The aroma has some boozy hints, with roasted malts, caramel and brown sugar, some herbal and woody notes. It's full-bodied and lightly warming, softly carbonated, with a very light bitterness. Caramel, brown sugar, some booze and wood, with a touch of licorice and dark dried fruits. Lasting finish. A nice one indeed, not very complex but really nice. 221008
