Poured from 750mL bottle. Hazed golden orange with small white head. Some nice funk with a touch of the quince fruit. Enjoyable.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out dusty dry pear skins and gentle funk. Flavour is loaded with barnyard funk, accentuated by musty pear (I know, quince) skins, and some gentle leather. Dry, funky, and somewhat champagne-like. Really nice stuff.

Has a tan colour, bit hazy. On the nose, it's got that nice 3F softness, gentle bready pale malt, and light quince. On the palate, that quincey tartness is nice, and just a light bit of leather to it. Dry finish, again the quince is coming through nicely in there, the barrel and a bit of brett helps to bring this one home.

After dabbling in the vast pool of experiments that is Spelingen van het Lot, 3 Fonteinen finally got their quince lambic right – to their own standards because the Spelingen versions I had were delicious – and released it as this 3 Fonteinen Kweepeer in their standard range. Thanks to Craftmember for sharing. Egg-white, moussy, membrane-lacing, stable head, amberish-tinged deep peach blonde robe, hazy. Aroma of indeed quince peel and quince flesh with that typical bee wax- or furniture polish-like side effect of it, dried thyme or even bouquet garni (oddly), green apple, dried grapefruit peel, hay, unripe plum, wood, bitter dark green tree leaves, Conference pear. Tart onset, appetizing lemony edges but generally remaining quite ‘mals’, lots of quince flavour in between green apple and green pear (as expected), fizzy carb, rather vinous mouthfeel, quite ‘juicy’. Bread-crusty malt and wheat lie hidden under layers of lactic tartness, outspoken malic acidity from the quince and tannic dryness from the wood – but also from the quince; tannic, fruit peel-like, dry, complex finish with lingering apple juice and green pear effects as well as damp hay-like, well-dosed Brettanomyces funkiness. Complex, rich in malic acidity with additional herbal and funky adornments – the group of apple and quince lambics is gradually expanding, and this one shoots right through to the top for me.

Bottle. HOTM online. Hazed gold. Fine and super dense, lasting ring of white foam. Looks good. Nose has tart quince and unripe pear. Mineral. Fresh oak barrel. Clean lemony brett. Taste is sharp and tart with a nicely clean fruity juicy bitterness. Bright and refreshing with soft foamy carbonation. Clean juicy fruit to finish. Very nice fruited job.

18/VIII/22 - 75cl bottle @ Alengrin’s place, BB: 24/X/41, bottled: 15/XII/21, 21|22 vintage (2022-1014) Thanks to Alengrin for sharing the bottle!

Little cloudy orange blond beer, big creamy off-white head, a little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: weird, very smoky, lots of burning charcoal, sweet impression, thyme and rosemary, provençcal herbs, floral. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish start, dry, some floral notes, grapefruit, bitter, a bit lemony, laurel. Aftertaste: very dry and spicy, astringent, smoky touch, nice acidity, dry, fruity, juicy, good thirst quencher, yeasty, resinous finish, not bad, not great.
