Tap @ Carnivale Brettanomyces 2014. Pink, cloudy, looks ugly. Blackberries in the aroma Lemon. Soft bretty notes. Grapefruit in the yeasty flavor. Blackberries are fairly hard to spot. Gooseberries, leather. Horse blanket.

A: Dark ruby with a tall and very fine head, this looks much like a well-made lambic S: yoghurt, and not the plain one, but the one with bifidus bacteria, mixed with some burnt plastic or burnt rubber; not very pleasant T: super sweet, lactose all over, on top of a very feint medicinal type of bitterness; not sure where the blackberries are M: soft, very little carbonation, medium body O: a beer that is very confusing to the senses, and not in a good way.

Taste like a thick smoothie with blackberry, with some bretty sourness. Quite nice actually.

Sampled from tap @ In de Wildeman. Opaque pinkish color, small off-white head. Aroma is a bit weird, kind of like a mix of candy and brett. Taste is not as outspoken as I had expected, but quite pleasant. Light body, easy drinkable, quite refreshing.

Tap @ In de Wildeman, small sample. Cloudy pink color, short to no head. Aroma is very fruity, blackberry, slight tart, bit funky. Slight sour in taste, quite fruity as well. Not much rye noticeable, mostly the fruit that dominates. Ok stuff.

Tap @ In De Wildeman (Brettfest 2014). Pink color, very cloudy (like red grapefruit juice). Not much of a head. Aroma’s: tart, light brett, with light fruit retronasal (blackberry not distinguishable). Flavor is moderate sour, fruity. Light bodied. Finishes with a bit of grainy swetness, dry, light bitter. Pleasant enough.
